Chateaugay Lake Needs You!

Dear Friends of Chateaugay Lake,

Can you help protect Chateaugay Lake? Join a dedicated group of volunteers who are making a difference. The Chateaugay Lake Foundation (CLF) began 15 years ago in response to invasive Eurasian watermilfoil taking over more and more of the shoreline. Since then, our fundraising has paid for control work that has kept milfoil from choking boating lanes and helped slow its rate of spread. Shorelines have been restored for swimming. This critical work needs to continue. The CLF is also a point of contact and partner with others in the region for environmental issues affecting the lake. We need to continue to build this network of support.

But to do this important work, we need reinforcements! The CLF is seeking individuals who could serve on our Board of Directors. We need people who can help carry on the work and lead us forward. Currently, we especially need someone with secretarial skills who can help with donor relations, an events planner, a coordinator to work with the milfoil removal contractor, and people who like to get out on the lake to observe and report on conditions. There are many ways to put your skills and knowledge to use!

To find out more, please send an email to info@chateaugaylakefoundation.org or contact one of our Board members listed below.  We would be happy to exchange emails or talk on the phone about your interests, time availability, and how you could help!
